When's the best time to ride to Ladakh?
Mid-June to mid-September, once the passes open. The shoulder weeks are quieter, just watch the weather and acclimatise.
Which bike do you ride / recommend?
I ride a Royal Enfield. For the high passes the Himalayan is the most forgiving, but a well-prepped 350 handles most routes too.
What permits do I need?
Inner Line Permits for the protected areas in Ladakh (Hanle, Umlingla, Pangong). Carry copies, and I'll point you through the process.
Do you do group rides? Can I join?
